About “Dad's Corvette”
First, I have to say THIS IS NOT A PICTURE OF THE ACTUAL CAR! A friend had this picture posted in a car show album, but it looks nearly identical to the way Dad's car did (except that Dad's car had a hood scoop and a white stripe) before it was destroyed in a house fire when I was about 7 years old.
This is the car that started my interest in cars in the first place. I'd lie on my back under the car with him and try to help with whatever he was doing with it. He had me hand tools to him (usually, the WRONG tools!), but ha wouldn't let me actually do any of the mechanical work. I did help him keep it clean, washing the sides and dusting the interior.
About “73 Z28”
I've had this car for about 12 years now. It has been restored from the ground up twice. The car was finished once and i wasn't satisfied so I pretty much started from the ground up again. The second restoration was completed in 2001. All the work on the car has been done by me with a little help from family and friends which I greatly appreiciated. Even though the car is complete I still end up changing things or trying to make things better i guess thats thats a car guy thing.

To the best of my memory, it had the usual Corvette stuff:
V-8, 4-speed stick, AM/FM radio, etc. As far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile times go, I didn't care! All I know is it was the most thrilling ride a young girl could have ever asked for. After this Vette, no car with a solid roof would do for me!
