Head to Head

About “The Slime”

Im 17 and this is my 1st car, I wound up buyin her from another user on here. i took the old 302 outta it because it had very low compression and was seriously tired. So i decided it was time to upgrade, my girlfriends dad bought me a 302 Hencho En Mexico Block and we set up for my first rebuild ever! many memories in this car...

About “The Aerocoupe”

Was looking for a nice SS Monte Carlo as a daily driver and knew that it had to be either black or maroon and with NO T-tops. Seen this nice looking white Monte with a funny looking rear window and deck lid ( had never even heard of aerocoupes let alone seen one LOL). Bought it and then found out that it was maybe a little too rare to be a daily driver. Went looking again for the black or maroon NO T-top, daily driver. Found a nice low mileage local car and bought it... guess what... yep... another white SS with T-tops. So the moral of this story is ... always know exactly what you want and don't settle for anything different LOL.

Specs for “The Slime”

she's a 1970 base model which only 4,816 were made.she's got a # matching 302 in it with an edelbrock air filter and covers. A holly 600 carburetor, a edelbrock torker II intake and headmen elite ceramic coated headers. She runs like a dream for me! She's got front an rear drums.
UPDATE
we put a 302 HENCHO block in it an bored it 30 over, built it from the block up with all performance parts, i got my hands on a set of GT40 heads off a stock raceing mustang and put the roller rockers in it, upgraded to a more aggressive cam for that mean bump. now its got strait 2 3/4"-3" pipes, so now im up to around to about 350hp we havent done the math yet. but all we need now is a 9" rear with 373 gear ratio and i can continue to never see a set of tail lights!
