Head to Head

About “Jimmy”

A friend of a friend sold this car to the other friend and notified me of it, i was looking for a SUV at the time because i snowboard and trucks are usually good in the snow. so i went and looked at this jimmy and it was in decent shape and i took my friends word that it was mechanically fit. there was some body damage but just as long as the engine was fine i didn't care. so i bought it for $1,800. and i drove it home, i brought it to my mechanic and he gave me a list of mechanically problems, my dad and i didn't think too much of it so we paid to get what it was fixed, but the problems didn't stop there, pretty soon we were spending alot more money than a first car should have. i bought it for $1,800 put atleast $5,000 into it, so it should have been worth $6,800. but used cars wouldn't get that much, especially a '94 with 100,000 miles, so i was lucky and sold it for $3,000. not a good first vehicle but it ran good in the snow, i also put a pioneer DEH-P3000IB in-dash stereo and i put in two 10" kicker subs that are now in my 3000gt

About “the phenom”

I bought this car in March of 2008, so far i have updated the sound system with Polk Audio MOMO 5.25" component speakers in the door, pumping out 125 watts RMS each, those are powered by a Profile 4-channel amp. My stereo is a Pioneer DEH-5900UB, I have Rockford Fosgate wiring and a Rockford Fosgate 1-Farad Capacitor. In back i have a Polk Audio 10" SR series sub, rated at 700 watts RMS, mounted to a custom built box with my profile amp and an MA audio 1900XE amp on either side. Giving my car 1200 watts RMS. I also put clear marker lenses on the front and rear as well as Megan Racing front upper strut bar.
