Head to Head

About “Sporty”

1999 Ford Escort ZX2

My Dad bought this car when he wreck his truck in the snow about 5 years ago. We got his truck fixed and the car just sat around only drove a little bit until I could drive it, about two years later. Has about 60,000 miles on it.

About “Angel”

This Jeep was a replacement to my 2002 Silver Jeep Liberty (only 20k miles) destroyed in a head-on collision on SR-50 north of Stateline Nevada in July, 2004 while on a family vacation.

After surviving the accident (with only seat belt bruises) that should have killed both me and my family if we were in any other vehicle; we immediately replaced my first Liberty with Angel (photos from my accident will follow shortly). I did equip Angel with the brush guard for added protection (if only a placebo).

This is my fourth Jeep. The first was an 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, the second was a 1993 Jeep Wrangler (tow vehicle behind our motorhome), the 2002 Jeep Liberty (dead), and finally Angel, who I hope to have as my primary vehicle for many years to come. This is my daily driver.
