Head to Head

About “The White Tiger”

I just bought this truck at auction, so I'm still learning about it. I do know it was a drug siezure vehicle, so if I suddenly turn up with scads of money, I guess you'll know I found something the police didn't (JUST KIDDING!!!)

About “Black Stallion II”

Sometimes lightning strikes twice. Three years ago, I had what I considered to be the perfect family car, a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp-G sedan. It had plenty of room for myself, my wife, and my two teenagers, plus it had great performance and handling combined with an acceptable ride for the family. This all came to an end on the weekend after Halloween of 2008, when the driver of a tractor-trailer got distracted for a few seconds and plowed into a line of slow traffic on Interstate 95 in Philly. My Grand Prix was the third car from the back of the line when he piled into the line of roughly 25 mph traffic at about 65 mph. Three people were killed in the crash, four if you consider that one of the people was a pregnant woman. I was hospitalized for well over a month, and I'll always walk with a limp. Since my teens had just started college that fall, I didn't really need another big sedan (my wife likes her big old Chevy Tahoe, so when the kids come home, w werew covered), so I splurged some of the settlement money on my Porsche Boxster. Man, I love that car, but I still missed my Comp-G for days when I just felt like kicking back and enjoying a relaxsing drive that wasn't as involved as driving my Porsche. A friend knew I was looking for another car like the Comp-G, so when he saw this car come up on eBay recently, he told me about it. The car is a virtual clone to my original car, with the exception of the stock wheels, un-tinted windows, and lack of a sunroof. I can live without the sunroof, but the windows and rims might be subject to change!
