Here is a company that makes the claim. You just have to be willing to collect waste vegetable oil from local restaurants, and do the preparation with their special additive. They claim it runs in any diesel, so it does not require conversion.

Has anyone tried this stuff? When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is...Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Actually, I have heard of using used Vegetable Oil for fuel in a Diesel, and it is relatively cheap, however, you don't just drain the local McDonald's French Fryer, and fill your vehicle's tank. If I remember right, the stuff requires a bit of filtering first in order for it to work, and some other vehicle mods. So, while it is possible, it's not simple.

I would be suspect of that particular link because it has all the earmarks of "something for nothing" scams. I do know you can run used veg oil in diesels but you have to process the oil in some kind of still before use. I'm told it's a stinky process.
