Wouldn't it be possible for GM to make a new retro GTO or Olds Rallye 350 based on one of their existing rear drive designs? For many years both F body version were built in the same factory and were only lightly differentiated, so why not a low volume run of a classic nameplate to keep some of the old brands alive? They could be sold through selected GM truck dealers.

I doubt that you will ever see the GTO name/badge return because the 2004-2006 return was met with mixed reviews. I really do not see anything other than the Camaro and Corvette in the way of traditional performance cars coming out of GM from here on out.

While I would really like to see something like that, Pontiac is dead. GM kept Buick alive because they sell so many of them in China. Traitorous Sons of Dogs.I like 'em all, but I like Pontiacs best.

The 2004 GTO wasn't a bad car, it just had underdone styling against it. I know some poeple that have one and they love it.
That aside it seems incomprehensible that there will never be another GTO. Just think of the nameplate recognition? What a waste.
I wonder if the Chinese would go for a new version of the Grand National. We could ask, wouldn't you really rather have a Buick? I wonder how that would sound in Chinese?
