Im still kinda new to motortopia, but ive been noticing alot of cars/trucks that ive been in a challege with the '#' in front of the name. Is this some sort of group or something?
The reason why im getting angry is that in the challenges i always get completly obliterated by these people in this group or whatever. Sure, Ive accepted challenges that were WAY out of my league, but some i have not. I.E., Right now im losing to a freakin '84 Jimmy, an '05 Stratus(This car is so plain-jane and stock its not even funny) and i got my ass whooped by a Contour, all with the # in front.
I thought the challenges were supposed to be fair and you were supposed to vote on cars you like, not the ones that your fellow group member has, no matter what it is.Drive It Like You Stole It.

you have been pounced on by either the "Dawg Pound" and/or "200 club" and/or maybe others. Learn to live with it or avoid challenges. We are talking amongst ourselves about seeing if there is a good solution to this, and if we find something that looks good to all, we will submit to Motortopia and see what they think. There are several groups that are out there that stick together. i saw a sweet 65 GTO get obliterrated by a late model stratus or sumn. Unfortunately, newbees get took and tend to not like challenges because thet get done this way. Sorry.MattP

One thing you can do is join the group and challenge other members so you have honest votes!! -

That does work, from within the group you will get more accurate votes, but if you belong to 2 of the groups, you start to get jaded again, so just consider it for fun and if it bothers you, just dont do the challenges. It is your choice to enter into them or not.MattP

Before there where challenge groups we had groups of friends that did the same thing and that started the challenge groups, as I see it. Getting rid of the groups I don't think is the answer, it will always be one sided. Even a local car shows you will get a club voteing for their members to win trophies, the only way this is handled is by judges. If you make a group of imparcle judges to do the voting on challenges then the challenges maybe more fair. Making it more of a car show for a week, the judges deciding the number one car for the week and feature the car the next week. This would be a lot of work on the part of the judges and the people entering, they would have to input a lot if details/pics on their cars. It would mean alot more to the winners have bettered a group of peers from all over the world judgeing. Look at the Motortopia calendar contest awsome cars came out of that, at the end of the year another vote for the top 12 of the weekly could be judged into a calendar. This is somoe thing that Motortopia would have to ok, but would, I thinkd help the site grow haveing a world showing of cars. My 2 cents and we know how much 2 cents is worth now days. John BThe need for is growing and spring is time to bring out the BARR"S AM for the shake down run, hope all of you are ready as I am.

Well, some of us may get hot headed every once in awhile, but it seems like we all work it out. That is what is in best interest of Motortopia. It really is a great site. Have fun with it and make lots of new friends, thats what we are all here for.MattP
