So over the last couple of days, my girlfriend and I were noticing a burny-like smell coming from my cars engine, i didnt think much of it because it was running just fine, and I dont leak oil and no engine lights were on, so the smell was quickly dismissed. Well, today im getting ready to change my oil and of course being in and around my engine area i was smelling it again, only now three days later it seemed more pungent, so my cars all jacked up, i got my tools and i scoot my way under my car, and as soon as i look up, theres a huge rat, with its face ripped in half chillin next to my oil filter, needless to say it startled the hell out of me as well as grossing me out, so i pull him out and one of his hind legs is missing, and his side and face were ripped open, and i further realise that a tiny bit of him was splattered on the heat shield of my hood. this is probably one of the strangest things thats ever happened to me, and id assume its pretty rare, but has this ever happened to anyone else?Pimping is not easy my good sir!

mmm yummy, but i didnt hit this rat, he was inside my engine, and all of this damage to him was caused by fans and belts in my engine, i think he was sleeping inside of it when i started it upPimping is not easy my good sir!

well...
last night on my way home from my gf's house, I came upon a dead medium sized animal (probably a large raccoon or porcupine) and since it was night I didnt see it till the last second I moved to straddle it and it dragged along the bottom of my car. Since the retta was expriencing saggy exhaust syndrome, it hit it pretty hard and now its all bent, but im only assuming since I havent had a look at it yet. The tip is about into the bumper and the muffler is pointed up... but the moral of the story and the on-topicness of this post is that since the hot exhaust dragged across this animal, it reeked of burning dead animal guts. The inspection should be exciting.Aaron

upon inspection, the connector from the pipe to the muffler was "broken". It was apparently rusty and the impact from the dead animal did it in. There is some blood spatter on the underside of the floorpan and on the gas tank, and a good chunk of fur stuck on the axle along with more blood. From the impact with the axle, there is more bloodspray on the underside of the spare tire well. Eewww. LOL.Aaron
