I am doing some major work on my rampside. I took the gas tank down and threw out the old sending unit (25+ years of old gas and other misc. crap in there). My problem is that now I can't find a fuel sending unit that looks like what I remember the old one to look like. Clark's and local places all have sending units, but most are for the cars, and some have the note "not for forward control". Does anyone have one, know of where to get one, or know of a suitable substitute? Appreciate all the help you can give.

Try the Corvair Ranch at www.corvairranch.com. Jeff may be able to get you a good, used one.
