Yeah, breaking the cars down into different classes would be a great idea. And you could have people vote on a small group of vehicles at a time with a more in depth point system. That would be kinda cool.

Or keep the challenges to cars with the same star ranking and number of votes. A car with 4 stars from 20 votes shouldn't be allowed to challenge a car with 4 or 5 stars but with only 5 votes. Or maybe only be able to challenge a car with a higher rating and more challenge wins.

This is the kind of activity that we are concerned about on Motortopia. And, to some extent, we think the challenges are an incentive to this kind of activity. We want to work to change that.

We think a virtual car show, without individual head-to-head competition, may be the best way to go.

We appreciate all of your feedback.

      Thank you.

An online car show would be very fun. It's a great idea. Line 'em up. It's a good way to show off your car, and perhaps get some positive feedback.I would still allow some form of voting, but not competition based, just to be able to judge a car, not have that person "win".

I love the idea of an online car show! I can't believe how well moderated this sight is. Most other sights would not have bothered responding. Very cool idea!

I once got caught in a speed trap. I was going through some podunk town in Mississippi when I still had my '93 Dodge Daytona. This was back in '94 I think and I was fresh out of the ARMY. Anyway I was cruising about 65 in a 55 on a two-lane country road when a came upon this little town. We are talking one blinking redlight and a post office. I think the Police station was basically a one man booth with one car. I saw a speed limit sign of 55 then in the middle of town at the Police station another sign posted 25 mph. Well of course Jethro was sitting right by the station in his car and he got me for speeding. I was a bit pi**ed that he got me that way. He pulled me over and he got out of the car. This guy was about 400 lbs and had a severe hair-lip. I could barely understand him. He said he clocked me doing 63 in a 25. But he wouldn't show me the reading. Then I knew he was making things up. He then took my license and starting walking back to his police car...I then said, kind of under my breath "You Hair-Lip Ba****d" Then he turned around and came back quickly and said WHAT DID YOU SAY BOY!" I then said never missing a beat "I said I'm Glad I wasn't going any FASTER!" He then said "Oh" and went back to his car. I guess he ran my tags. He asked me if I was a soldier because of the post sticker on my windshield and probably because I kind of flashed my military ID when I gave him my license. Anyway I guess Uncle Sam got me out of that one!

By the way no offense to anyone with a hair-lip it was just part of the story. I was young and stupid back then.
