Nothin going on at the local dragstrips s we'll either be going to the GoodGuys CarShow in DesMoines or listening in on the ADRL that's in Topeka by tuning in to www.racetalk39x.com where BigDon does a great job of bringing the action right into your house!

Gene.......We'll be in Julesburg, CO for their annual big 4th of July bash and racer appreciation BBQ. I have done quite well at this event in the past and hoping to keep history moving along.
Found a new chassis man and the car spent the day in his shop yesterday getting dialed in and getting several handling probs resolved that I had been fighting for years.

MAXinnovations in Arvada, CO got the chassis probs sorted out with no probs. Went to Julesburg, CO for the 4th. It had rained there for several days prior and managed to wash ALL the rubber off the track. They prepped it the best they could, but couldnt get it good enough for the lighter high horsepower cars. My 60' times were good enough, but as soon as I came off the concrete, car went up in smoke.....and I mean BAD! It spun so much that I was up on my high end chip (8000). Car was a handful to the 1/8th then settled down. I made one pass that was fairly good, but lifted at 1000' and coasted....actually was on the brakes.....and ran 9.39 @ 150. Not bad for terrible launch and lifting early. Then I was approached by the staff and asked to lift at the 1/8th as their insurance is only good for 9.50 and slower! I figured why waste the fuel and chance blowing an engine from being on the chip so much and loaded up and headed back home to Texas. I found out what I needed to know about the chassis, so all wasn't a total loss. I am now regrouping and getting ready for the Bad Doorslammers meet in Albuquerque on Aug 8 & 9.
