ok now i want to put some Driving lights in.... i want them to run on a switch but im going to leave the switch on most of the time..... heres what im getting at.... when the cars on i want the lights off but the switch on.... when the cars on i want the lights to turn on...... and the switch on..... how do i do this.... pictures of wiring diagram would be awesome........DvS - Monte - Xtacy

i am confused, you said when car is on, you want lights on, but then you said when the cars is on, you want then off, and you want switch on all the time. If this is the case you just need to hook a switch up and leave it on, then hook lights to another switch and maybe hide that one. I think you may need to make yourself a bit more clear. I am sure someone here can help you out.MattP

ok i have another car but it came with the lights on it already and wired up
now the AUX light switch is on all the time... when the car is ON the lights turn on when the car turns off lights turn off (mind you the switch is still in the on position)
how can i do this to my Monte Carlo....... i intend to keep the switch on most of the time and want the same results as per. my other car.......... pictures and other stuff would be greatly appreciatedDvS - Monte - Xtacy

wire em up like this and they will stay on anytime the ignition is on, but with the ability to turn em of via the toggle switch...

#85 & 86 are the two that make the relay function. One of them goes to ground, and the other goes through the toggle back to the keyswitch. doesnt matter witch way you hook these two up.
Wire up #30 to the battery, and #87 to your lights. -

lighted toggle switch? "Ground" is of corse ground... find a screw somewhere hidden under the dash thats going into metal put an eye connector on it and screw it down... "Supply" hooks up to any wire u can find under the dash that is only hot with the ignition on... "Load" will hookup to #85 or 86 on the relay... -

ok now as soon as i hook the ground up for the Relay my Lighted Toggle switch LED turns off WHY?
and my AUX lights dont turn on!!!DvS - Monte - Xtacy
