What I dont understand is why anyone would ever get upset of losing a GAME where the outcome is nothing more then a fart in a bucket! I mean is it really that important to win?

Im sick and tired of the prvate messages calling me a coward or a thug because of challenges, (none of these people would ever say this to my face in real life cause id break there arses!) because of the group i belong to. AND TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST NO OTHER GROUP FROM THE DAY I STARTED HERE HAS EVER ASKED ME TO JOIN THEM. So i stay with the peeps i know.

And all this bull about how in real life or on the streets id get my azz handed to me. What are we in the 6th grade? COME ON!! My truck has been in three national magazines can any of you say that?! Sure I sold it and it was my pride and joy but it was time to move on, I allready started another project thats gonna be better IMO.

You dont hafta like what i have i dont hafta like what you have and believe me theres a lot of vehicles on here that i dont give a second look to but i dont go bashing it. Just keep your rude comments to yourselves.

I all together stopped challenges because of the way that most members react with no class or respect, If my dually beats a sports car then good 4 my dually, WHO CARES! I put way more time and energy into all of my vehices then some of you do and Im not saying that to try and be an azz about its just the truth.

I keep coming to this site cause of the friends that ive made here but the bull s*** has gotten so bad that im just feed up and wanna pull the plug.

but ........ im an up and up kinda guy so...........................
KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE WHEN I VOTE ON CHALLENGES I WILL POST HONESTLY AND TRUTHFUL AND I WILL SAY WHY I VOTED AND WHY THE OTHE VEHICLE DIDNT GET MY VOTE AND IM JUST GONNA SAY THIS ONCE

THE TRUTH IS GONNA HURT!!!

Hey, its me aagin Margaret! Some of you wont get that, but it is part of a classic comedy bit here in the south.

Listen, everyone knows i have not been a fan of challenges, but that is my opinion, and i hope that i have kept evrything on the up and up. I dont do the challenges and wish to help the site and peeps on the site get the challenges where everyone would enjoy them. I have come to realize, you cant please everyone. But, some things that were really wrong look like they have been considered and changed. Newby smashing was the 1 thing i thought was just not even right, those were just for the win and everyone knows it.

The ideas i have seen come from the "groups" have been good. To keep the challenges amungst themselves, or maybe even group/group challenges cuts down on some of the contraversy. I dont agree so much with groups popping up to thrash. I did join 1, and it was really to see if we could come up with ideas to change things. I think some awareness came from those discussions, and thats good. I dont know what all these new groups are trying to accomplish, maybe some of them will do good. But it does seem like some of it is from bitterness, and that is causing its own problems.

As it has been said, if you dont like it, dont participate, or constructively try to help make changes. Motortopia has made it clear they are watching all these conversations, and there is a lot of traffic due to this, but we are all adults, well mostly, there are some young adults on here, and nothing happening from these challenges affects anyone one of in the real world.

I think if we all just try to suggest changes with out pointing out any 1 person in particular, for doing this or doing that, we could find some good things in the challenges to where we could all get along again. THIS IS AN AWESOME SITE WITH ALOT OF AWESOME PEOPLE!

i think we should have people vote, but also have some judges who look at each car's actual stats and that sort of stuff and have their votes be a fair size count, to weigh out all the people that just automatically vote for friends cars, or something like that

That sounds nice, but implementing such a feature isn't as straight forward as you think. Who are the appointed judges? How is their judging deemed fair? What if they eventually quit judging, how do you keep up with that roster? How do you weigh judge votes against people votes?

It seems that for each solution comes a new set of problems. In the end, challenges are what they are. They are popular for many, and can be entertaining. They can easily be abused too, and it's not simple to police.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

lets make it a democracy then. people run for judge, the people vote on them, and if people deem them unfair they get the boot

So what is stopping a large group from voting in their guy(s) as judges?

Way too much to take in on this topic, so if this was already mentioned then forgive. The thing I keep seeing everyone talking about is whiners and group voting. I realized along time ago that only those in groups have a chance of winning and only those new to the site, that haven't learned the 'rules', are the whiners. I could care a less about the challenges section of this site, it's not why I come here, but since the groups are going to rule this feature then I think you guys should set some polices within your groups on how to handle newbies. For a while every time someone new joined the site it seem they got bombarded with challenges from all of the groups, and even though it's a game, when their car loses by such a drastic amount it does become upsetting and they're bound to complain. I say if you want to partake in the challenges then keep it only between the groups, give the newbies some time to adjust to the site and possibly joining a group or two before ganging up on them. And by now everyone should know how to turn off the challenge feature on their garage, if not ask and I'm sure a lot of people would be glad to assist...otherwise simply decline the challenge request.

well all i'm trying to say is, i put hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in my cars, and having them get beat by almost 90% of the vote from stock cars that people have never even looked under the hood of is discouraging no matter how many times it happens
