    Hi

I was thinking about the main page member blog's. Since Motortopia is getting busier, and more and more people are taking advantage of the blog, perhaps the front page could be changed just a little, and display six blog posts instead of the current three.

I have a couple of thoughts about the site blog but I do not know who writes them so I will hold back on that for now. LOL

Hope all is going well with staff etc.

It's a good idea Jerry, although the current three blogs already push the content underneath them down quite a bit. I don't know if we want to push that much further. The "view all" button at the bottom of the main page blog list will take you to a full page dedicated to the member blog listings.

Well, the idea is to allow the blog's to stay visible for a longer period of time. I know this will not help when people use a new blog instead of a new paragraph, but it would help keep a blog on longer, either way and I see a lot of complaints when some one posts a blog and it does not stay up long enough to be read.

" current three blog's already push the content underneath them down quite a bit" You are able to do anything with the site. I have seen some of what you are able to do with the site. I know you can arrange the page and still make it usable. (I really do have faith in you)

    Thanks for the speedy reply,
    Jerry

The main page is meant to be a snapshot of the newest content. The newest blogs, members, cars, photos, etc. Trying to lengthen the time for blogs on the main page (or any other content) is a bit counter-productive. As a matter of fact, lengthening the blogs will only be a temporary solution, as the site grows the blogs will only go by even faster and you're back to the same issue.

If you really want to see all the latest blogs, the blog page is the place to go, which is linked from the main page blog box. (View All)

We could try to cram some more blogs on there, but as I said, it won't last long anyways as the site grows.

Ok Jerry, we have made one change to at least help accommodate the problem of blog exposure:

On the next update (in a day or two) the "Blogs" button on the main navigation will take you directly to the latest member blogs. This will make it quick and easy to see all the latest member blogs with one click from anywhere on the site.
