I had a very strange new sound in our 48 Truck the other day. As soon as I started backing out of the garage the noise started. It sounded like a clicking from the brakes but was only there when I was moving and applying the brakes did not affect the sound. I stopped at the corner and looked under the hood, but no luck, there was nothing apparent out of place. As soon as I started moving again the sound started again. I was getting a little worried, like maybe a wheel bearing or something. Just then Mary said "Why do keep slowing down and stopping?" I told her about the noise and how I had to determine what it was so we could get where we were going safely. Mary said "Duh, it's the new keys you added to your key chain hitting the vent knob when the truck is moving, take them off the key ring dummy". Ok, Mary is my best friend, and I love her more then words can express but ......... some times?

That is to funny. I would be doing the same thing and driving myself nuts trying to find the noise. The bad part is if she wasn't with you it would have taken you miles to figure it out. After you had it figured out you would have said i can't belive i didn't think of that right away. But seeing as Mary was the one to figure it out and put in such lovely words, like duh why didn't you know that. It just make you feel like
It sucks when your other half catchs you slipping. Racing is only done on tracks. Anything done on the street is for your ego not for sport.

Hi Paul
Yeah it did have me going for a bit. I hate sounds that have an unknown source, and leaks. When I get a little too analytical Mary is always there to remind me that sometimes it is the little obvious thing not the hard to diagnose difficult to fix thing.
