I stripped a throttle valve screw while tearing a carburetor down. This is the first one I've worked on and it seemed pretty easy until this. Worst part is it's a flat head. Any advice on: 1) How to get the screw out and 2) getting a replacement screw from? -

O'riellys has the proper drill bits, they are one time use and have reverse threads so you actually go counter clock wise to drill the bit in and eventually it will go far enough in and turn the bolt out with it. -

Wow, I let this one go a bit. It's an ETT1 carter with a throttle shaft body intended for use with a governor. The entire screw head just sheared off of it. I ended up getting another throttle body assembly and nearly did the same thing. There's always one screw that gets jammed, but that's got to be due to my inexperience. I wouldn't think it would be so hard to get a screw out though without tearing it to shreds. -
