That's a valid point Mark, but you can't be so quick to jump on someone and say they are cheating just because you lose a few Challenges against them or a "bogus" Challenge. I've lost a lot more Challenges than I have won. So if I'm cheating, I've got to be one of the worst cheaters on this site. Think about it.

Like I said in my previous post, you can't fault someone for liking a certain style/make/model/year vehicle. No matter how much time you put into your car or how much money you spent. Whether it's a tuner or classic or modified new car. Ppl like what they like and vote accordingly. You said yourself that you always vote for your buddy. I understand that you helped him with it and that makes you biased when it comes to voting, but it doesn't make it fair. So you see, no one on this site votes every single Challenge with straight forward honesty.

I've met some really cool ppl on this site and you are one of them. There is no reason for ppl to get bent out of shape over this. It's meant to be fun and once it stops being fun, then maybe it's time to take those cars off the Challenge list. I've lost many Challenges that I thought were "bogus" and that I should've won but not once have you or will you EVER see me post anything negative or derogatory on those Challenges, or otherwise, accusing someone of cheating. That sounds more like a "sore loser" to me. That's just my thoughts.

So, like See Ya said earlier, let's put all this behind us and move forward. Again, they are meant to be FUN! Let's try to get them back to being just that. wink image

Woah! Cool your jets there turbo! Not once did I direct any of that towards you. I think you are looking into it way too much.

I can see that the real topic of this thread has been dismissed completely and there is absolutely no way to get you to see anyone elses point of view because you are right and they are wrong. Sorry you feel that way but not everyone is out to get you.

I won't be read or responding to this thread anymore. If you would like to contact me directly to discuss anything, then I will gladly talk to you more about it then. Other than that, good luck to you with your cars.

    LOL classic firebird. smile image

I am still pretty new here and am just getting the hang of challenges. I didn't challenge anyone myself for a few weeks, not because I didn't want to, but more bc I tend to be quite a bit on the shy side. I hadn't finished filling out the information on their pages, biggrin image biggrin image ,still haven't (just in case u havent "met" me: I am a married mother of 4 young boys. All 4 of them have ADD, but sometimes this place reminds me of a farm rather than a house...lol...it's all good though bc we take and deal w/ what we are given. They are loved to death). But anyway, the reason for sharing such a private aspect of my life is to hopefully help (some) people that may not know someone else's personal situation, understand that maybe their profile is not finished, the car only has half a doz pictures or the owner doesn't respond very quickly or even "loses" a messg that was sent to their inbox, NOT always bc they don't care or that they are lazy, but bc they only have an hour or less a day that they can be online, total. And at that point they are sometimes so drained physically that they can barely string two words together, much less write an intelligible paragraph abt their car! I am not suggesting this is always the case, but I think blank areas or only a few pics on the car's page shouldn't automatically cause another member to not vote for that car, if they like the car and otherwise would have voted for it. Blank areas are not always due to not caring/being lazy/being arrogant, etc.
I don't completely understand Mark's (?) comment abt how he never votes for a few makes of car. I, like most people, do have preferences (note my username..haha), but I wouldn't exclude voting for several makes of car if the car is really cared for, has obviously been kept up and loved, or deserves the vote bc it's a beautiful or exceptionally unique car. But of course it's his right to vote how he wants, just like everyone else.
I realize that this may have strayed way off topic (remember it was not originally abt cheating), so I will close here. My main point was (in case I was so long winded that it got lost in there.. :tongue) is that you should vote keeping the car itself as the main focus, not bc of the person or how u feel abt them. Ur first impression abt the person may not be accurate anyway. Isn't this supposed to be abt the cars, not a person popularity contest?
