Lets see if anyone can help me with this problem. No one has been able to help so far....I have a 350.1986 chevy Camaro ..It had front discs back drums..I changed the rear to a 1987 disc setup..I have changed the booster & mastercylinder for disc, disc.I changed the porportional vavle I have a high lift cam so besides the engine vacuum I added a vacuum pump for the booster..when I am on a wet road I cant even lock the wheels up..It feels like manual brakes ,push as hard as u can & still NO brakes.
My thought is to change the brake pads & calipers which are originals. But i really dont think this is the problem, But am lost...Any Help is appreciated.. Thank you ....Mark

do you have a check valve(one way vacum valve)in the hose or in the boosterm if so, check it, make sure its not backwards and that you can only blow thru it one way,and make sure you have strong engine vaume to the booster(which I am sure you do)....let me know,,,,mark aka. CBSame Bat time.....

it could also be a bad brake caliper. at the first sign of damage calipers, have it replaced asap because this is what initiates the contact of the brake disc and pads for it to stop, making it the brake actuating part of the vehicle.Chevrolet Truck Parts
