i have a 93 Thunderbird LX and was wondering what would be the easiest swap to a more reliable engine(mine is the stock 3.8 with all of its built in defects lol, gasket leaks and whatnot). i'm not lookin to build a monster, just move to a more solid powerplant with the least amount of hassle. the car is so heavy i don't want to under power it but don't want to be stopping for gas every block either lol.any suggestions? It is better to be thought a fool than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.

I would drop in a 302 from a a 'stang there are plenty of bolt on mods for the 302 that wont create a monster but definately make it more fun to drive. -

I agree with jay find a wrecked 5.0 thunderbird or cougar and swap motor trans computer and harness very reliable and probably not much worse gas mileage than the 3.8. good luck!
