Has anyone out there put a newer 4 cylinder engine in a Nash Metropolitan?
I have the original Austin 1600 in good shape but would like to look at putting a newer engine in it. I am not looking to make a hot-rod, just a reliable driver.
Any thoughts welcome. -

can't beat an iron duke 2.5 pontiac 4 cyl for reliabilty they made them for years in many applications front drive ,rear drive, fuel injected, carburated.not sure how newyou wanna go but i have 95 honda civic with 300000 miles original motor and trans never rebuilt hows that for reliabity? you have alot of options just depends on how much you want to spend. hope i gave you some ideas!
