I think they usually matched it with the interior. Red has been my fav on a white car. -

RED, definately RED. Black is the classic look, but RED stands out in the crowd, any crowd. Unfortunately, the police can see you better too.
But in my opinion, the red with silver bird packeage is an amazing look. Good luck with it regardless of what color you choose.

What about that Rust-Orange color GM is using on some cars?
Not a fan of yellow on 2nd gens,
Cant go wrong with red or black.
If you are looking at purple what about a mopar lime green?
I have a thrid gen too that is Honda Racing Blue, about the color of this smiley and I love it --SEE no-relevant smiley ->
Anyway, remember, these cars have amazing lines. THink of paint that will show off that monte-carlo like curve on the rear quarter and mde-accentuate the front.
Pontiac was pretty smart with their pinstriping and screaming chicken -

This is the hardest choice to make, black is classic but very high maintance and if it is dusty in your part of the country look out. Before I decided on my Sport Gold Trans Am I had to see it on the car and traveled to Denver car lots to find one. After I saw it on the car I was in love with the color and ordered it as soon as I got back to town. If I were you I would hit every site and look at colors done to that body size and style. I am not a big fan of white, but I have seen some with the new camilion colors as accent colors that are awsome. I like my sport gold in part as it is dusty here every day and at shows I pick black cars to sit next to and they are dusting every five minutes. I can sit back and not worry so much and every hour or so dust it down, more time to look at the other rides in the show. All in all it's your choice and how you may add accent the car later. LOL!The need for is growing and spring is time to bring out the BARR"S AM for the shake down run, hope all of you are ready as I am.

Why are you asking though? You should build your bird the way you want it. Make it yours and you will love it forever.
