OK I am in the middle of my restoration/rebuild of my 77 Trans am and I have found that I have a large amount of rust on my sail panels. Now I've looked at Year One, and Classic Industries, and neither one of them carry the reproduction part of this. I looked at other restoration catalogs (for like 67-69 camaros and such) and they have them attached to the rear quarters. Where do I find this piece. So far my only options have been to either chop it off another TA or Firebird but I would rather not sentence another bird to death for my purposes. My other option I was told was to have someone make it. Due to how costly this can be, I'm going to try and option not to do this. If anybody knows something I don't on this please please let me know

Well they did help out, thank you, however they want $2400 per set. The good part about that is, it the full piece, from sail panel all the way down the quarter. The bad news, I only need one and they don't come individually. So back to the drawing board until I find something else... hmmm -

Ah, just find a Camaro, this way you dont chop up a salvagable Bird.I am only kidding, they are the same however!!! There are plenty of these around in junk yards that are not salvagable, both 'Maros and 'Birds. That is about the only way to do it affordably that i can think of...

http://www.ar...om/index.html has a lot of good usable parts. Also there's a couple guys by the IDs Kentucky Yeti and Bighooch at TransAmCountry.com and 78TA.com that have yards full of cars that have good parts still on them. -

Have you tried the Ames catalog? Can't a good chop shop cut it out and replace with fresh steel? -
