    what are some simple and hopefully in-expensive modifications i can do to the motor of the firebird without possibly getting it disqualified at car shows for not being orginal parts??? any suggestions???

    its a 91 firebird... everything is orginal, and it dont even have 48,000 mile...still want to keep it all original...

    I'm guessing you have an L98? Most "stock" classes just need the car to appear stock so porting and gutting parts, a good tune, valvetrain (cam) and drivetrain (final gear, clutch) upgrades and some fuel upgrades are possible while keeping the car to appear stock on inspection. You could easily get over 300 hp and people would not be able to tell from the outside. It depends on your competition rules though and how far you want to go with it.

    I'd read up on some L98 enthusiast forums for what other 3rd gen F-body owners are doing to their cars for ideas.

    is L98 Enthusiasts the group name? if not, can u tell m how to find them?
    hopefully i can give the mods u suggested a try and not get disqualified. will deffinately want to learn more about all the mods u suggested.. im kinda of a dummy when it comes to motors.. any help will be greatly appreciated.
