Welcome home everyone and thank you all for a great run. I have had nothing but wonderful comments from all our hotels. They were amazed that with a group our size we had no problems. They said no one complained about anything or got out of hand in any way. So thank you, thank you, thank you! I need to hear from all of you about what you liked or did not like about this year's run. I spoke with Dave this morning and we are already talking about plans for next year. So this is your chance to give us input. Since the run is for the runners, we need to know what you want.
So far, these are the comments I heard the most on the run:
1. Keep the 2 nights in one city (everyone loved that)
2. Get back to a mountain drive (the flat FL roads were not as much fun}
3. On the other hand-everyone loved being at the beach
4. The Hooters event was a favorite-(That was a really big Hooters it may be hard to find another one that is as nice as Daytona)
So let's get the comments started. For most of us, this run has become our annual vacation. Tell us what you want
FYI:
For those of you who desperately want that Texarkana to Atlanta run, it is coming. Be patient. Dave and I like the idea of doing it on the movie anniversary years. We did it for the 30th anniversary - 2012 will be the 35th anniversary of the movie
That route needs to be special. Debbie

One thing that I didn't like this year was the Jupiter Beach Hotels. I don't like the fact that people were split up between the 2 places. The Beach wasn't the greatest at Jupiter either.
If it would be possible to mark the cars that have a gps so when the group gets spread out over a long distance or someone makes a wrong turn they just have to find a car with a gps and know they are going the right way. How's this thing go back together???

Debbie,
Honestly every Run seems to top the last!
Really thanks to all who contributed to the Run This year.!
Thanks to Dave Hall and Kevin King for their sponsorship!
And hearty Thanks to you and all the volunteers behind the scenes.
Here are my suggestions.
Maybe a run to a central hotel and branch off to mini runs daily. (less packing and unopacking)
Really loved the time in the parking lot in Daytona. I think the unscheduled day that followed promoted more bonding and banter that evening. more of that!
BTW I don't think a 5 star resort would allow our little "street " party.
Honestly didn't mind the ride around Disney Speedway... but LOVED our time on the Bristol track in 09. more time and space to GO!
Really Great time at Hooters.. That also will be hard to top.
These are only suggestions.... Trust The Committee's judgement for a Blast next year as well.
Again Thanks again for so much fun!

This is a great event with like minded people. I have enjoyed both runs that I have been a part of and look forward to next year. Thanks to Deb/Mark and all that organized and scheduled this event behind the scenes. A big thanks to Dave and Restore a Muscle Car for creating and sponsoring it, also thanks to Kevin King with Year One. If I can help in some way next year let me know.
My biggest issue of the 2 runs made was time of month. My wife and kids want to come but it is our end of school year and finals. My wife is a teacher also and cannot miss graduation. A week or month earlier would be nice, later gets into peak season. Maybe even fall would be cool. How bout a run through the Carolina's starting at Year One and ending at Virginia Beach with a stop at Charlotte Motor Speedway????? We get the mountains and the beach!!! Also with this route, we can head up from Virginia to Boston for some clam chowder.
Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

Let me first say that I had a blast this year just like the previous one I went on.
All I can say that I wouldn't miss on next years run is scrubbing the gazillion lovebug kamakaze strikes off my windshield hood and bumper. (I understand there was no way of knowing when they come out so I'm not blaming anyone. )
Other than that all the planning that went into this really paid off and I applaud everyone involved. Thanks for your hard work.

Thank you for all the work done in planning this year's Bandit Run! It was very well planned! This was our first Bandit Run, and we had a great time! All the stops were great. The Daytona stop was Randy's favorite! He liked spending time at the beach a lot!
As for suggestions...
I would like to suggest the dates of April 16-22 or after June 3rd
. I am a teacher and was only able to attend the weekend events due to school being in session.
Thanks again,

Thanks for all the feedback. Those bugs were a pest but I guarantee you we will not be headed back to FL any time soon. The only reason we had the swanky Jupiter hotel stop was because it is the only oceanfront hotel in Jupiter. If you are billing a "beach run" you need to offer some beach. Of course, once the Bandit Bash was scheduled it didn't much matter since we spent the evening at the museum. I really appreciate your comments. Like I said, Dave and I spoke at length this morning about next year's run. It is hard to make it work for everyone but we will do our best to listen. We are blessed with a great group of people who just enjoy spending time with each other. I really believe bandit runners could have a good time just about anywhere.
