OK Bandits, it's time to dig deep into those memories and tell us one of your favorite stories, events or moments from a previous Run. This will be a good way to show the people who have never gone on the Run before that it's more than driving your car from point A to point B. Plus, hearing stories from past Runs will definitely get us pumped up for April!
For me....
I remember stopping in Sevierville, TN to visit the Muscle Car Museum. Walking around inside, looking at all the incredible cars from years passed---what a place! But finding myself more intrigued with standing in the 98 degree sun watching as runners came to help Clint change a flat tire on the Cop-car. Watching the guys dripping with sweat as they helped a fellow runner warmed my heart more than the rising heat index.
Or...
A dark, rainy night in Braselton, GA when we all still gathered together outside the hotel for drinks and conversation. That's when I sat with Jackie and Marcia and realized that with 80% of the runners being men, I could still get my "Girl-Talk" in.
Or...
Tail of the Dragon...need I say more??
Or...
Watching Dennis, Derek and Sarge smoking their tires outside the Daytona 500. Thinking to myself, "Good thing they didn't let these guys on the track!" (And going with Sarge the next day to get new tires at a local shop
)
AH, the Bandit Run....priceless!!
CatImagine the possibilities

Boy.. there were so many... from seeing the HUGE line of Trans Ams on the roads... to the COPS with video cameras as we flew by....
To driving our cars on Bristol! Unveiling the BRE T/A.... Replacing a water pump on a couple's car... to making a Macgyver oil funnel for another.. lol...
Seeing the museums with all the old beautiful cars....
Getting to hear all the stories from people about their first cars.. or the mods they've done...
Getting to see us on various TV and news Shows....
The life long friendships that were created each year...
The list could go on forever..
Maybe next year we could go back to the original run? I'll DEFINATELY find a way to be on that one again!
But in the end.. the experiences are undescribable! Thanks to everyone that have made the above happen!-Geno (AKA MacGyver)

We were just talking yesterday about Paige and how everytime we saw her she had a huge smile on her face! It was easy to tell she was having the time of her life...and we were too! We loved every minute of the Bandit Run...it was our first year but it sure won't be our last year!!

Like everyone else we have tons of great memories and made some great friendships along the way, but one of my favorite memories from the Bandit Run was how (what seemed like) every single person who lives in the town of Mt Vernon along with their friends and relatives came out to see our cars! Seeing the little children holding Go Bandit Go signs and when watching the news story hearing a little girl say she had A LOT of fun seeing our cars. How cool is that?! I sent an email yesterday to the Chamber there and got a nice reply. Here it is:

I wanted to email a big thank you to the Mt. Vernon tourism folks who gave the Bandit Runners such a warm welcome and reception last week. It seemed the entire town was excited about our arrival! My husband and I were very touched by your generosity and kindness and the events that were organized. I know many of the Bandit Runners were similarly touched. Thank you very much for making our stay in Mt. Vernon a great memory!

Thanks for note, I will be happy to forward to the appropriate others involved in the bandit run. I agree, it was a blast and what a wonderful happening in our community! I am proud to be a part of this community and to help host such a great event! Thanks for your feedback, and we look forward to having you come back for a visit soon!

My favorite was the 1st day of the 2011 Run going to KC.
The track was a dream come true for me, but the trip along I-29 with Shaker on my rear bumper doing 100+ was something special, too!
Thanks for the back door, Ron!

My dad being with me the entire trip was the best thing for me this year. Kansas Speedway and just plain driving the car is a huge WOW factor. Now gotta get him a TA and do it again. If you don't have a CB, you missed half the fun and Ricky Boobie was a new and unexpected twist this yearAny day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

Well... I don't know where to start fellow Bandit Runners.... it's all good!
I liked not having to lead the crowd last year ... cruisin the first 1,100 miles or so with JesupTA just to get to Lincoln by Sunday afternoon!
Real good - all of it!
