#4 May 17, 2009 at 3:47 pmWe made it back to Illinois at 2 a.m. We missed out on the dragstrip Friday night and didn't attend Saturday's events. Friday night we were tired and just stayed in the hotel in Gainesville, Ga and we decided to leave home for Illinois at 11 a.m Saturday so we wouldn't have to rush back here Sunday. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone. Hope you all had a good time at the track Saturday night, sorry we didn't make it.

#5 May 17, 2009 at 6:00 pmMade it home safe but later than expected. James and Debra was having car trouble and stayed with them in Tuscalousa and waited on a Sunday mechanic. He thought the car may make it home but had to get it towed in Meridian, Mississippi. They traveled with me to Jackson, MS. where they rented a car to get home and will be back tonight with a truck and trailor to pick theirs up in the morning. Think the harmonic balancer went bad. Wish them luck and hope the problem is less severe, they were awesome to be with this week. Other than this the trip was perfect.
Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

#7 May 17, 2009 at 7:27 pmPam and I made it home this afternoon----no excitement except for staying in a hotel with Motley Crue concert fans, and a caravan of South Carolina folks that made an outstanding front door through Georgia and Tennessee.
Can't believe the grass grew so much in one week.
