We had to leave the run after memphis. Had lots of fun and hope to make the whole run next year in our Bandit. We had a great time in the 25th anyway. Hope every one is having a Great Time -

I don't recall the withdrawals from last year's run as much as this year! Wow! PonchoFreek called them Bandit Run Withdrawals! I can testify that I have them as well. Darn it was hard back in the office today even after I drove the TA ! When I came out of the office around 6pm, it was as beautiful as it could be...65 degrees with not a cloud in the sky! I couldn't wait to hear the roar as the 455 started and it was a joy to commute home even in an hour of ATL traffic!!!
Let's do this run thing more than once a year!!!!
Anyone with me??????

Wow I totally agree, reality hit hard coming home after this week. Just waking up and looking out the hotel window to be greeted by a parking lot FULL of Trans Ams every morning was practically worth the trip for me. So many amazing rides, a little overwhelming at times even. I proposed this week, (the night we stayed at Gaylords) and Christie Jo and I had such a blast we are talking of making it our honeymoon trip next year!!

This trip was better than my honeymoon!!
Sorry D, but I fell in love with TAs first, and have been 'cheatin' on them with you...

P.S. before all the girls out there 'blast' me. D laughed and said she had no doubt it was better than our honeymoon... she is very supportive of my addiction

I'm hooked!! I could drive another week with no problem but staying out until 2 & 3am has caught up with me. Rather than going in one direction I say the trip should be 2 weeks, going and coming just like the movie. You guys were great to be with, see ya'll next year!!Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

It would be really great if we could bring the Bandit Run more east next year. I wanted to do it SO bad, but driving west that far was just not doable for me, not with two small kids.
Just a thought...

I think this trip ranks up there with the first run in 07. Only went to Atlanta in 08, so can't compare it with this year.
We really enjoyed all our friends on the run. Ron, I believe I'm also having "withdrawl" really, really bad this year.
Our car did great. Went 2235 miles, averaged 14.5mpg. Broke into the 17mpg range on the highway this year. Surprised me.
Keep on Pontiyakkin'

Ditto on the congrats, DevilBird!
Looks like Red needs to add a bachelor party to the itinerary for 2010!
Had a blast even though my new exhaust (or, to be more precise, the poor job the muffler shop did installing it) was giving me fits. After 2,715 miles of listening to the leaf springs slap the bottom of the driver's side exhaust AND the high-pitched squeak where the exhaust pipe connected with the floor pan and the rear fender, I can now say I am completely tone deaf.
Great seeing all the friends I met in 2008 and making some new ones.
If I make it next year and it turns out to be an east coast run, I may need to make special arrangements with jwf to ship my car to Hotlanta.
