Remember how big of a hit the movie was back then..
Wouldnt it be wonderful if that movie sparked what you get to see in peoples eyes on The Bandit Run and this thing turned into something bigger.
Here we are a bunch of regular TA guys in cars that are raising in value every day...most of us true TA freaks.
That have the cars because we truly love them showing the country that we are not down....It sounds like somehing The Bandit and snowman would have done.
The trailer team and The Bandit run together could use this to raise money for soldiers and to show them overseas that we are all thinking about them and that we support them..

Ok ill stop..big dreams probably...but this thing has the potential...if the right people look at this and jump aboard...

I am so sick of hearing about everyone having these rough times..
and so scared for myself at the same time .
I need this trip to get away from all of what America is going through right now
Maybe people will get out of there homes ..It cost nothing to come see the truck go bye maybe we can be that spark for people to start spending agian getting out and doing things ..
Watching an American car group go down the road..
Just like the movie created so much attention then maybe the little guy with the little budget comes out on top just like in the movie..
Oh well one thing we can do is show off and we will do that well.

By the way i have had so many tell me they cant make it..so many as we all know have been effected and so many of them have found a way to come...
They no doubt remember the time in 07 and or 08 I am shocked from what they tell me ..and it makes me that much more determind to go and have a great time.
We willl keep this thing going and maybe we will see you next year on The Bandit Run !

I will be going, riding along with Robert in his 76 T/A. (Thank You!) My T/A caught fire last year and will not be ready in time. Normally I just drive down and meet all of the bandit runners in GA & promote my concept Trans Am, but with being part of THE TRAILER TEAM and working so hard on the trailer, I cannot miss it! God has blessed me with so many great friends and made this happen for me. I am grateful. I hope everyone enjoys the trailer!! Thanks Dave Hall & Year One for putting this event on, Thanks RED for all of your efforts! It will be great seeing you guys again!!

      God Bless!

It will be good to see you again. You know you have a lot of friends here...it would not have been right if you had not been able to go with all the hard work you put into the trailer !! See you at Branson, biggrin image

Ok, I live in Raleigh NC, I work 9 states in my teritory. Last Friday I was in Athens, GA doing a food show and looked at the map and noticed that Braselton, GA was very close abotu 40 miles. So I drove over after the show and registered at Year One-that place is HUGE-there website does not do them justice. I would never fantum they were that big of an operation.

They were doing a car show that weekend and moving an older Chevy out of the show room to bring in the "Bandit TA". But I was on a schdule never got to see it UGH!!!

      So I am registred...

Just a foot note on the economy-I sell wholesale school food and my business is good. Alot of my competition is saying it is real tough out here right now and I flip those comments around and make it very possitive as I work harder-dig depper and have had record sales through these tough times.

But on the other side I know and respect others fallen on hard times and my hat goes off and my prayers are with you all and your families... good luck

(I posted this in the "What's your 20" forum and thought I'd share it here too)

This past weekend, I finally found the CB from the '77 400 4-speed TA that I had (and totalled) back in 1984. It's been bouncing around in various boxes of TA parts for the past 25 years.
But I cleaned it up, connected the wires to an adapter for the cigarette lighter, bought a magnetic antenna, and the thing works! It looks a little rough, but it really made my weekend and will be great to have for the Bandit Run.

As for my handle, I'm not very creative so I guess I'll just go with my Mototopia name, DualCarbGuy.
