Wow, yep, that's it! Sure miss her.
I was 17 and I still remember thinking nothing of drilling a couple holes in the panel below the steering column to mount the CB. I shudder at the thought of doing that to my current TA!Justin Hockersmith

I always "mounted" my CB in the console slot underneath the ash tray but I didn't leave the CB in there unless I was going on a trip... like to the "Big A" (For you northerners, that don't mean the Big Apple!!!). I always left the antenna cable snaked under the carpet but would unplug the wires and stick the CB radio in the trunk. That left the slot open for items like large pairs of shades and smokes, etc.
One time, my parents asked if they could drive my new TA to the Big A for a Convention of County Commissioners (my Dad did alot more than just farm) and I granted them their wish... only my CB got stolen while they were in Atlanta. My dad felt sooooo bad about it! BUT, they had a blast in the car as everyone laughed at the old couple driving the "hot" car.

"Breaker 19, you got your ears on buddy? This is Road Kill from TEXAS (aka blk 2000 WS6) and/or Yellow Jacket from TEXAS (aka 2002 WS6 CETA verte) and I've got the hammer down, headed east bound and down. Could you tell me what it looks like over your shoulder? Any county mounties up ahead?"
Don't laugh too hard,
but I think I'm gonna have to brush up on my CB lingo somewhat, It's been a few decades back the last time I fired-up the old CB. So, if everyone could cut me some slack, I promise I'll be a dedicated and faithful Bandit09 Runner!
l: This is just another first time runner hear, plan to make the first leg of the run and the last few legs of the run.
Can't wait to see the
and meet all those in attendance.
