It's great he recognized the problem, good for him. Hopefully I am correct to assume he has 8 months to complete the program!

Reunion??? What reunion?? We've been meeting every year.

I think splitting the run is a bad idea. Most people would want to do the Texarkana to Atlanta, (because of S&B1) instead of Atlanta to Florida. All this will do is split the run, weakening it. The format we've been using every other year works fine. Don't mess up a great thing.

Maybe we could do Texarkana in 2012 the 35th anniversery of S&B1. Makes more sense to me.

smokey and the bandit three was made in ft lauderdale fl. i think a beach run up the coast to brasleton ga would be owsome. there are many great stops along the way. disney ,kenedy space center ,daytona etc. i live in south florida and can make things happin if we start here. i have relationships with local news media and the hardrock casino in hollywood florida. red ,if they decide to come to south florida please don't hesitate to get in touch with me

I would rather do another midwest or east coast run down to Braselton. Florida is kinda far down there for us who live up north. That's just my 2 cents. I am sure no matter what they end up doing it will be a good time.

I sure hope I get the opportunity to participate in this, just don't know that I can really trust my T/A (31 year old car) on a trip down from Virginia without motor work (which I don't have the cash for). Plus I wouldn't exactly have the prettiest car on the run.

Hi all you Bandit Runners and soon to be...

Dido... I agree 100% it's not about show, but being a part of something GREAT... Joining up at different locations and cruising down the freeway and back roads in a pack of car crazy people... Going out to eat as a group(s) and just hanging out and sharing stories... Getting together year after year is the best part... So don't put it off because those are the years you can't get back... It seems as if The Bandit Run gets better and better every year... So don't miss this next one in 2010...

I feel the same way about car shows now... I've been to a few since I got back from The Bandit Run and I just feel restless, like I need to be driving instead of sitting... It is nice though talking to show goers about The Bandit Run and Snowman's Trailer and all...

      Best to all - Later,
      Greg

Forget about it, if you can't get your T/A in a condition you feel is dependable, hook up with another runner and come anyway. We had plently of empty front seats last year, finding a ride is not a problem.

I agree! It is not about having the prettiest car. And besides, I have NEVER seen an ugly Trans Am!!! tongue image

Also agree on sitting at the car shows. I has happy to do that before, but once you are on a moving run it is just not the same. I have been answering lots of questions about my Bandit Run sticker. The word about the Run is getting out there!
