This is the only way to describe the 2009 Bandit Run every minute seemed to be filled with great times.
I never in my life have had so much fun with my car and my friends from The Bandit Run it was so nice to be able to share this experience with old friends and new.
Each time I start to even think of everything we did together and all the support that was there for one another.. (its just overwhelming).
I never have done a scrap book but i must for this years event ive never had so much to tell but i cant begin because i dont want to leave anything out
I had alot of responsibility this year and some conflicts that came ...and went but it did not seem like it because i had so much support from all of you.
My sincere and deepet thanks to all of you i will remember and cherrish this years run for the rest of my life.Keep the phoenix flying

Red, I gotta agree with you. I had a blast in 07, like you it was the most fun I had with my car, but this year seemed different (better even). The truck and Buford's car made a big difference, and the stop in Nashville was very emotional.
As usual the people were great!!! We do have a real connection as a group, as a whole.Keep on Pontiyakkin'

I feel very spoiled! As this was my first run, I got to enjoy the ride on the foundation all of you original runners built. Thank you all for making my dream trip a reality. Without 07 this is no 09 or that beautiful Rig! I can't imagine no Truck.

Sorry Ric, but I gotta post.
I totally agree about this year. In 07 we didn't know what to expect, and still had a blast. It seems that 08 was more of a destination, don't know why. . . but I can't explain it.
This year was fun on and off the road. Lisa had an absolute ball and claims she'll never miss another one. Yes, there were some hickups and issues, I got lost at least once a day, sometimes several times. . . just part of it though.
We also learned that a 1979 Kenworth could out run a TA, even going up a mountain. And that a 38 year old trailer could run 80+ miles an hour for 2,133 miles in one week. (By the way, the trailer is fine, it's been checked, washed and ready to go again). It's tuff, it has to be . . .especially in this crowd.
Lisa said it best, This is great bunch of people. She couldn't believe all the states represented in the convoy. I think a good example is Ric putting a video together for everybody free of charge. Wow. that says alot about the character of the group, and him. Everybody just wants to help each other. The Reed family was overwelmed by everyone's love of Jerry. Lottie and Lori will probably be with us next year.
I'll shut up so Ric can get some work done. It was an honor to ride with all of you and to call you friends. Hopefully the movie tour won't get rained out next year.
Maybe us old birds got it going in 07, but you young chicks gotta help improve it every year. Keep the spark alive! Now that it's an established tradition, even in a bad economy. Bandit Run 2010, here we come!!!!God Bless, Tyler

Hi all you Bandit Runner's...
I have to agree with you all; this year was very special. I noticed the gathering of large groups and everyone enjoying themselves till the weeee hours of the morning... I remember when I got back home from The bandit Run 07 I felt drained and numb... Well, this year I really feel drained and have the withdrawals something terrible... I just want to thank all The Bandit Runner's, Shannon - aka - the Oklahoma Snowman, the Reed family and friends, Restore a Muscle Car and YearOne for making this Bandit Run 09 such a great time... This is one Bandit Run that will go down in history... I'm sure Snowman (Jerry Reed) was with us all the entire run... All I can say is get ready for The Bandit Run 2010... I'm sure there will be some great things lined up for you all... There has to be to top The bandit Run 09...
Story to share: While on the way to South Side Steve's, Lottie was riding with me and we were stuck behind a civilian car going real slow and I told Lottie, My CB doesn't work and I don't have my Cell Phone so I hope we don't get too far behind the rest of the Bandit Runner's and finally the civilian car turned off the road and Lottie said, "Oh boy, we can go fast now..." I'm sure Lottie will doe just fine if she joins The Bandit Run 2010... There are so many stories to share from this year...
Take care everyone,
Will see you all in 2010 - GregThe Bandit's Back

This was my first run. I did not know about the past runs and only found out about the 2009 after buying my first 1979 Trans Am in November of 2008 and searching for anything Trans Am related on the web. I was planning to go but when the trailer videos started to surface I knew it was a done deal. We all owe Snowman Shannon a big Thank You as I believe the rig was very special, then the Bufford T. Justice car shows up and is just icing on the cake, what a great bunch of guys. I don't know how anyone can add anything to top this year, maybe Burt and Sally will come along in 2010. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible, it's an event that must be added to The Bucket List.
See everyone in 2010, until then I'll be reading this forum
Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!
