With all the remakes of tv shows, cartoons and old movies, I am shocked that SATB has not been tossed around on the table, they did the dukes, wasnt bad either, and they even had a trans am in the final rally..some have there own ideas of a remake, wink image even I, trans am are readly avail, along with a special semi-- biggrin image But the question is " How can you break the law, and win" especially in todays electronic age with gps and such.... wana know how......decoys...instead of a single trans am, others who wana help the new "Bandit" pull out all the stops with there own blk trans ams....I wrote a complete story having the original remaing actors, burt, sally, little E, and a old tired jesse duke, all are sitting on a old country cabin, talking about there days of running from the law and bootleggin....BUT, Bo and carrie, had a son, this is were it begins,....he over hears the group late that evening talking about these days and the good times they had, to where the sons curiosity, is now to see what ever happened to the old cars that pops drove around these states, out smarting the good ole Sheriff.......from there a story builds ....the rig is found in snowmans old barn, along with the battered 77 trans am.... well, I hope I got someone thinking, It can be done..................Dont under estimate the power of a Bandit Brother..... biggrin image

Maybe trucking medical marijuana to a retirement/veterans home in Georgia. Not sure about the positive message of that. The original was so tied into bootlegging and the south. One of the things I thought was bad boy cool about the original. Coors beer not really a political hot potato like marijuana.

There should be some type of story remake about the smokey and the bandit movies, even if it only included the truck, but the past must hold true to a future audience. people want cars. cars crashing, cars doing things we not can all do on a road..since we are on the bootleggin idea, would be good if were still in the 70s, but you can make your own booze/.wine or grow your own pot(if you wana take a risk going to jail), but neither would do well as people would complain.why beer, why drugs...so scratch that crap, keep it happy, fun, and down ride thrilling...watching a cop car explode does make me feel good... biggrin image but not that a human is harmed of course...or like everything else, a prequel of the bandit////say....."loaded up and truckn", following a 70s theme,a much younger bandit can do damage in the rig before he conveys the Trans am////as he was the driver with snowman(RIP JR)..your thoughts.... idea image tongue image tongue image

Enos Strate (Sonny Shroyer) from The Dukes of Hazzard was the motorcycle cop.

      And the trivia continues...

Sonny was from what famous Georgia town?
