Did anyone, other than me, have one of these when they were a kid?
I got mine for my 10th Birthday in 1980.

It was all Black with tires that were squared off on the edges to look more like car tires. Had gold stripes and fenders.

It even said Bandit on the nut bar.

I had a bike just like that also. Rode the tires off it and got beat up so bad trying to recreate the bridge jump from Smokey And The Bandit that it fell apart.
My Dad calls me one day about a year ago and tells me that he has a present for me and when I get there he pulls out a mint condition Bandit bike that he found at a Goodwill store. My wife thought it was so cool she wanted to put it on the fireplace hearth. I couldn't believe it. It is missing the rear fender. smile image My Dad even rode it around the driveway.

      Please Please post up pictures.

I am looking for one to keep in my garage and all I have to show people is the snap shot you see here.

      BoDarvel,

Very nice bike. I just restored a 1979 Columbia Trans AM 12 Speed bike last summer. I have pics of it on page 4 of this forum. It was given to me by someone that works with me and I decided to restore it and customize it a little. Didn't turn out to bad. Your's is a much cooler looking bike. Would be fun to find one and restore it...

Here is a link if you can't find it...
