Ive seen alot of people talking about a 2nd Bandit Run
So it hought id get this topic started as alot of us who did it would like to c it happen again.

Myself i would like to c the original run done every 5 yrs.

I would love to c the next years run end at the National Show in Dayton Ohio to give more planning time... It is always Aug 26 or around that date.

The next all TA show that I know of is the Stars show in Fort Walton Beach Florida I believe it is at the end of March

One other that i think would be funny as suggested in jest I THINK by Dave was wherever they were taking the clam chowder.

Even if these places are locations u cant attend at least it keeps it going & will keep people interested

There is also the Great lakes show..

Just my 2 cents any show takes a ton of work and there has to be someone willing to do it...

From what i understand ths was not meant to turn into such a big thing so I believe if we want this to happen we are going to have to keep this site active .

Big Thanks to everyone who made this all happen.

I'll run with the Bandits where ever they want to go. Ohio sounds good but we need to at least run annually to keep the momentum and friendships going biggrin image applause image

I agree with every 5 years, with a full week run. We can get together for long weekends once a year. I loved that trip. I can not tell you how much that meant for both myself and my son. He has been talking about it as much, if not more that me all week long. And how much I owe both Daves and their wives for getting that together for all of us. But what made that trip so special was the fact it was a week. Most people get 2-3 weeks of vacation a year. If we did a long weekend for 4 years then do a week long one on the 35th year, I think it would be the way to go. But this is Dave's call. He was the one who spent the time and money to do this, and he was the one with the stones to actually run with it. Man do I miss that trip and everyone that was there. But a full week every year is alot on the cars and the wallet. Just a thought.

Thanks for the great response on wanting to support for The Bandit Run 2008. We are already discussing a different route for next year at the same time for the 2008 Run.

As we get some additional details put together, I will be posting it to the website for everyone to see and start a dicussion with. We still want to end up at the YearOne Experience for a fun filled weekend of auto related events, but are considering a different route option to change the scenery along the way.

      Thanks

Im so glad to hear that Restore a Musclecar willl be doing this again !!

I hope u consider the Nationals as an ending point after all this is about our TAs & what better a thing to get out the original bandit runners than 800 TAs after all many hadnt heard about the Nationals ...
Just my 2 cents though ...but i hated Atlantas traffic & i think many would agree w that... lmao image
Anyone who knows me from the run knows i like to get things going here is my wild idea for the route ...

I really think u will have to do something different if u want to c some of the original runners .

Texarkana really rolled out the carpet for us The Mayor was hilarious

here is my idea start in Texarkana (close for some of the original runners)

Tour the coors plant then take Historical Route 66 all the way to St Louis into Illinois then leave 66 to head to Dayton Ohio

Just my thought i had to share.....id do the run agiain wherever it goes ...Im just out on Atlanta portion & there traffic.

      Yeesh--

Speaking from the peanut gallery for everyone like me that found out late and couldn't get my Safe-T-Track in gear to make the inaugural event, I was hoping for a quick repeat next year.

But I'll admit, we ALL know the originals are almost always better than the sequels...

In any event, beggars can't be choosers and I'm in agreement with lilhotrod that the next time the Bandits ride, I'll do everything in my power to make sure I join in.
