I plan to head down I-20 to link up with the convoy heading back into ATL. Who from GA is planning the same thing? Maybe we can agree on a link up point/exit to fall in line with the cars coming in from B'ham....I was thinking somwhere around Talladega.....

      Thoughts/Comments?

It looks like several of us are attempting to link up at the AL/GA border. I think they are coming in on 138, not 20. I have still not heard any official word about where/how we will be linking up except to call some folks on the run/monitor the CB out on the road.

I'm coming from Sarasota, FL. and was going to join up with the group at the #4 stop, but they might just be leaving to early on the 17th morning. I would like to join up with the group, keep us posted what's the easiest way to. thanks Ric

Well if they plan on coming into Atlanta via 138 thats a mistake! At some point they are going to have to jump off 138 and hit I-20 or they are going to go south of the city through Clayton and Henry Counties?? Can you say traffic and stoplights confused image

Seems to me I read they are coming down I-20. That would make sense if they are trying to get through ATL with ease. I would suggest I-20 to the west side perimeter (I-285) around to I-85 at spagetti junction....avoid downtown.

The last thing I saw about Bham was that they were going to gather at the Vulcan Park. I think that's that big statue out west of town...I think they call that part of Bham Homewood.

Ok Bandits and Frogs, we are just two weeks out and we still dont have an "official" stop at the GA/AL border. I am not saying to have an official stop for hours and hours, more like just let me/us know what time to be at the border waiting. iF the organizers could maybe have a gas stop at the border at some big area like a truck stop that would be fabulous, that way we will not be endagering anyone by sitting on the side of the interstate waiting on the bandit express. I will even be willing to take action on this idea if the organizers have too much on their plate. biggrin image
