Rolling out of MD Thursday night. Driving till I'm tired. Grab a room, sleep and will be in Atlanta Friday afternoon. Staying in Braselton for the fun. Will be driving my Y84 down for this event and out to Dayton, OH for the Trans Am Nationals in August. See you guys in May for a once in a lifetime deal.

Hi Everyone. I plan to head to Texarkana early in the week. Rumor has it that we leave from there on Tuesday (?) and arrive at Braselton on Thursday night(?). Friday might be the day the Trans Ams are displayed, so I'm assuming we needed to be there prior to that event. Hopefully soon we'll know more plans. Can't wait!!! TylerGod Bless, Tyler

I plan on making the whole run if things work out. I am in SC near I-85 and I-26 so if I don't make the full run I will be in Atlanta, its only about 3 hours away. My 78 is ready I believe, every thing checks out on it ok and it only has around 80K miles on it. I am trying to sell my 4x4 Suburbans to raise a little extra money for the run. -

I am not 100% sure yet, but I was thinking about joining up as the cars roll in from Alabama on I-20 all the way to Braselton (YEAR ONE), but I haven't worked out the details yet.

Thats what I was thinking, maybe we should set up somthing on the AL/GA boarder for us folks that cant make the whole drive from TX. Anyone have an idea where a good place would be to meet up and catch the caravan? I just installed a CB in the car for this trip, will anyone else have one? It would make communication easier. -

Bigt232, I have a CB in my car also and plan to make the entire trip. I can give out my cell phone later so I could contact anyone that wants to meet at the ALA/GA border. There is a big Welcome to Georgia Rest Stop (run by the state) just over the Ga line on I-20 Eastbound. You would have to drive into Ala, turn around at the first exit in ALA to get to it. There is also a big Truck stop at exit 9 that would work out good. I would probably pick the truck stop because it large (alot of space, gas, food and is relatively new) and has everything. Two miles away at exit 11 has motels, etc. I think it's in the city of Bremen if you need reservations, etc. I know there is a Hampton Inn there and other motels also. See ya, TylerGod Bless, Tyler

Hello all, I just found the link to this site from www.78ta.com and signed up. I'm in central WI so it will be a very long haul. My family is going on vacation to St. Augustine, FL that week so I'm not sure that I'll be able to go to Texarkana; I may have to settle for Atlanta. Is there anyone who would like to link up somewhere along the way?
Keep cool and maintain.
Check out my websites!

That sounds like a plan. I like the idea of a big parking lot for everyone to stop at. -
