I'd like to thank you for setting this up. I just found out I will be unable to go on the trip. I was planning on attending the whole trip. I'm pretty bummed out about it. However, this will at least give me a way to see what I missed out on day by day. Will you be uploading pics from your hotel room each day?

Maybe I should start a folder for our pictures of misfortune. I was northbound & down heading to my first stop at panama city florida to stay w/ a buddy overnight. I felt the car pulling to the right hard....well a tire seperated, thanks goodness I caught it, thank goodness it was @ 2pm on sunday and there were serveral tiers stores open. My radial t/a have less than 700 miles, but just sit to much I guess. The bad news is the only white letter tires they had are firehawks.... I get I'll get use to them.

I had a small gremlin myself getting here... somewhere in Alabama for some reason my headlights decided to just flip up! Kinda scared me at 80 mph... And the bad thing was.. I COULDN"T TURN THEM OFF!!! No matter what I set my switch to they stayed on... only way to turn them off was to turn the car off.... and when I started it back up.. up they went... this went on through LA.. when all of a sudden they flipped down.... weird. But I'm here.. nice place.. just a little hard to find the driveway to get into the hotel. Can't wait to see you guys! Oh and 17 hours driving directly into the sun = BAD! Burned my face pretty bad.. lol... so noxema is my friend.. lol.

I just put the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires on my 81 with the white letters out. They really look great. Before they were mounted I wasn't sure I 'd like them but mounted they look awesome. Dave down at Texas Trans Am's in Dallas talked me into putting the white letters out and he was right on the money. Jason
