This is an article in the new issue of HotRod Magazine - Jan. 08 and the 77 SE Trans Am is # 18; and the ONLY bone stock car on the list! How cool is that!?

That's awesome! Hemmings also had a cover story a few months back about cars that are suprisingly increasing in value....the car they featured was the 77 TA SE....I'll have to pick up a copy of this issue as well....thanks for the heads up...aren't we all glad to have our 'birds? hehe
BTW...just to illustrate demand and nostalgia for these cars...I got a call from a movie producer here in CA the other day....referred to me by Dave Hall....they want to use my car in a new Will Ferrell movie they are shooting starting Dec 13...they'll have it for several weeks...and it'll be the centerpiece of a movie about a used car lot...it stars Jeremy Piven and Ving Rhames..it's working title is 'The Goods.' The director is the same guy that did 'Talladega Nights.' They've also offered me the chance for a bit background part with my car....ha...can you imagine that? It'll be fun! I'll keep you all posted.

That's awesome about the movie. Will Ferrell must really like 2nd gen TAs; remember he drove a red 77 or 78 in Old School and now this one. I think that's pretty cool. The guy obviously has good taste. Also - I can't believe I forgot to mention this - inside the front cover of the new HotRod Magazine is a 2- page ad featuring the Year One Bandit. It's the best pic of that car I've seen yet.

Thats good news Dave ! Thats my Trans am in the Hot Rod magazine. I am glad they chose it # 18th. I can't believe it beat Elenor #19. They borrowed it for a day to do the shot. Also Kevin King told me that the show Gearz will be on this January with my car and the new Yearone Bandit! They borrowed my car for a month to do the show. I can't wait to see it come out! Jerry Reed is going to be on the show ! I hope everyone enjoyed Burt Builds a Bandit. I had alot of doing that show! Can't wait to see you guys again! Tim Phillips.Bandit One
