After the RUN, have the under carriage checked out, Damn those roads with Mufflers dragging and sparks flying, new spark plugs , adjust the carb, tank of High test, and ROCK and ROLL... Everything OK. I drive my Bandit year round , it's Florida and we are the Sunshine State, we don't mention the Luv bugs in mixed company.. Really enjoyed all the Runners, many helped with problems and advice, it really feels like a family. Just a good feeling Running with everyone, and making new friends.. Thanks to all who helped with this event. Not much new chatter on this site, thought I might start something . My baby is now sitting on Snowflake 17/9 inch wheels and looking sweeeet. Lets hear how other cars did on the run. Hell I carry an Aluminum floor jack and got it out often for other Bandits. We take care of each other, One Runner went to the parts house for a part for me and wouldn"t accept any money, my heater core went out and then my power sterring pulley got loose and Restore/ muscle car, mechanic, saved my butt. Thanks to everyone, I had a DAMN good time....

Had a great time again as well... missed the 'Run and the "Family" The last three years... The trip back to San Diego was a long one... But thankfully no tickets, break downs, or more sand storms. So it was a good.. but expensive trip. Dad and I added up the bills.. and it was just a hair over $6,000 for the two of us... but it was worth it. smile image

That's a big bill!...I'll try and get two of mine together and you can just fly in and thrash on mine if it's on the east coast again!

I made it home after a five day drive from Braselton and 6071 miles. Got stopped again in Wyoming - the same county as before, this time for not signalling a lane change. I swear, the highway cops in Wyoming have way too much time on their hands. Got lucky this time though, and talked my way out of a ticket. I sent an email to the authorities in Buffalo, WY to discuss my speeding ticket (recall they busted me for going 9 miles an hour over the limit on interstate 25). Haven't heard back from them yet (surprize surprize). Went through a snow storm between Billings and Great Falls and had the heater in the car on from Great Falls to Calgary because it was freezing cold with rain all the way between the two cities. Got all the bills in and spent around $4,500.00 on the whole trip - worth every penny! Getting my carburator replaced this week and a bit of minor body work done later this year. The car is showing its age a bit now with 216,000 + miles on it. Not complaining though. Almost 25,000 of those have been on the 4 BR's I've been on. I hope to see everyone next May, wherever we go.
      cheers all,
      Canada Dave

Great to hear all you guys returned home safe & well even if it was just a speeding ticket for you Dave but you still made it home safe . That is a huge trip for you . Mine is a lot further but the majority is in the air for around 19,000 miles return trip to this years run & approx $9000 dollars later but is still worth saving up for each year for sure. That cost was for my whole three & a half weeks visit though. It could have been a lot cheaper if I wasn't robbed by the $300 bill I received for the two 10 minute phone calls I made to my girlfriends cellphone in Australia from that expensive Casino in Biloxi MI though. By god did I make her pay for that one LOL !!!!!

I've been slammed at work since we got off the run. I had a great time as always! This year was special having the brothers along. Wow what a blast! I haven't got the 403 replaced yet in the 79 but it's in the garage ready for install.

      Can't wait for next year.

      Take care all!

Yes I think we all had so many laughs with you & your brothers this year the laughing pains are still only just easing slightly. They must both be return candidates along with you next year for the entertainment value. I am sure you will have that red devil 79 TA back out on the highways before too long by the sounds of it !!!

Lori and I had a blast....my Bandit suffered an AC compressor lock-up during the first part of the run...it didn't affect driveability, but it's in the shop right now getting repaired. And, I've been trying to repair myself! Right before we got back to Dallas after the run....we stopped for dinner where I felt my back 'tweak' and lock up like my AC compressor...lol...it was pretty agonizing....must have been a combination of carrying all that camera gear, family luggage and sitting in a 30 year old car with no lumbar support for 1200 miles....lol. I'm getting better and am not complaining...it was an honor and a privilege to be on the run with all of you! I hope to see you all again next year....East Bound and Down from the Texas Bandit!
