I For one would love to be optimistic, but , the firebird is gone...With the downsizing of GM and the regulated output of new cars and trucks, in ten or more years, there, wont be a (overseas)buick, a cadiliac or chevy, just Gm for its cars and GMC for its trucks.....and The SCCA stated years ago that the Name Trans-am is theres , and theres alone........and besides, the trans am is a classic, a new model would make the old ones less in demand...And Im banking on keeping mine until the demand is as high as a copo camaro is today or a yenko would be.a 2002 Trans am, is going to be the flagship in demand in a few years.....Just my thoughts. and Gm"s best car is the corvette and caddy, the others(to me ) are just all plastic/and nonsense and WAY OVERPRICED.

Well stated Chumbrother. Love to have my 1969 LeMans back to cruise in... we had two in the family... a Silver hardtop coupe with Navy Blue interior (killer car color) and a light green with dark green vinyl top and dark green interior. If either of those were still around, I'm sure one would be a GTO by now...
Ohh and the GS Buick (dark brown) that Dad let "Big Daddy' drive was cool too. And the Silver Skylark with white and black interior and ... dang let me hush... i get plum emotional over all these when I think 'bout 'em. "Ready to Roll Roy?"
