from a rookie - - my son and i had a great time. only had 2 days with ya'll and ran into to car trouble half way to b'ham on my first day weepy image (possible starter issues according to many of the veteran runners who offered help and advise).

that in itself was a testiment to all you runners. i have no clue about what makes a car go.....so i was very worried about being 6 1/2 hrs from home with my 11 yr old son wondering if my car was going to start everytime i turned the switch. so we missed out on friday night and saturday events. however, my son told me on the way to ATL "dad, don't even ask me if i want to do this again, because i'm going!"

I had several guys listen to me and tell me things to get checked out when i got home. for that i am very gracious to all who took the time to offer help.

I do need some help if anybody can........I never got the last name of a guy named Charlie from minnesota. He and his wife actully popped my hood and helped adjust my timing and stayed to make sure i left Barber ok. I would like to drop them a line to say thanks again since i had to leave earlier than planned. If anyone knows how i can get in touch with them PLEASE let me know.

i had a wonderful time, and i will see you guys again. great job by all who had a hand in the arrangements of the 2012 BR.

      thks jeff

As everyone else has said, we had a fantastic time and couldn't thank all those involved enough! I was excited that our 3rd Gens were received so well, so many of you enjoyed us bringing them out and got that flash back moment of how you missed the one you used to own! That is why I love this crowd and am so glad I picked the car up. It is just as much fun letting others enjoy the car as much as I do.

I only wish we had more time to get to know some of you. Shouts out to Debbie, Geno and Brad especially for showing us a good time during the run, and to the rest of you for shooting the bull with us. We were part of the "younger" crowd, but I hope we set a decent bar for representing our generation.

Our wedding is planned for May 18th, what we expect will be during the run at some point next year, so hopefully we will at least get to make part of trip and hope to see you all again. Few of us asked her to do it during the run, but she shot that idea down quickly. frown image

Always glad to help out as well, so if there is anything I can do, just holler at me.

Awesome job Debbie, Dave & Michelle and everyone else who helped put the run together. I'm sure there were plenty of people who did things behind the scenes that we don't know about. THANK YOU ALL.

I would also like to say thanks to everyone who gave me rides over the weekend. It's not easy being a hitchhiker, but with this group, it sure is fun and never a dull moment.

Last year 1 day, this year 3 days, next year ??? I'm hoping for the whole week. Now just gotta work out the transportation. Change the tranny, or add an overdrive to the Princess (aka 71 Formula) or get a second bird to cruise with. Oh the possibilities. ummm, Who can help me out with the winning lottery numbers? lol.
