I just wanted to let everyone know that we are changing our lunch plans in Hammond, LA. SolarGold (Mike) contacted the folks from Swamp People who run Kliebert's Turtle & Alligator Farm & Tours. www.kliebertgatortours.com They have agreed to host our lunch stop in Hammond. It will cost $15 per person ($10 for kids under 12). This will include a guided tour of the farm and lunch. (Jambalaya/Rice and a drink or a hot dog chips and a drink) They have a big outdoor picnic pavilion with fans. They will split us up and half will tour while the other group eats. We thought this would give us a real taste of LA. I spoke with Mrs. Kliebert and she said either Mike or Bruce (both from the Swamp People show) should be there to meet us.
I know everyone will not want to do this. Some of you are stopping at Red Jacket so you probably won't get there in time. I know that a few people are headed into New Orleans for lunch and will meet us in Biloxi. We have decided that we will probably just split up a bit that day and get back together at the bonfire in Biloxi. So if the alligator farm doesn't interest you, no worries, do something that makes you happy. and we will see you at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi.
That said, here is my problem. I have to tell her how many people will be coming for lunch so they know how much to cook. So I need to get one of my counts going lol. If you want to have lunch with the Swamp People in Hammond please reply so I can get my lunch count together. Also, if you are not brave enough to try the Jambalaya (basically a Cajun stew made of pork and sausage with vegetables over rice), let me know so I can order some extra hotdogs.
Thanks,
Start counting.

I'll have at least 3 including myself. My dad (went with me on last years run) lives there and he may show up. Count me in as 4 and no hot dogs for my bunch unless made of gator meat
Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!
