Hey guys, maybe this will wake you up. . .

From my last post, there were many concerns about the SATB rig going on this year's run due to high fuel costs. It will be very tight on costs and we really need more $$$ support, but I think it is safe for the rig to go. I didn't want Wayne to hit the road with low funds and a thirsty truck. Please continue to give any thing you can, especially during the run.

To all who have given funds, past and present, THANK YOU. I received funds from runners who aren't going this year, but cared deeply for those of you that are going. They wanted all the runners to enjoy the rig, even if they couldn't. . many have asked what the bandit run is all about. . . . my answer has always been. . . . FRIENDS who are now FAMILY. We help each other out, in more ways than one. . .

There is a new T-shirt design for the rig. It will be a maroon shirt, (not black, too hot), with the rig on the front and a T/A on the back. Greg did an awesone job on the art work. They should be available in Lincoln, Nebraska and Wayne will have them on the entire trip to Atlanta.

Wayne and Tonya will pick up the rig this coming weekend for the Bandit Run. They will leave Sunday AM (March 26th) from Newnan, Ga., probably stop in Memphis overnight and continue to Independence, Missouri on Monday. I know several runners like to join him for part of the trip. If you want more details, just email me.

Lisa and I will not be on the run this year, but will meet everyone in Chattanooga. Movie tour is the following Sat. The rig is almost ready for the trip and I am trying very hard to get it ready. It needed alittle TLC. Lastily, I passed my college and state exams and now have my CDL. Don't worry, Wayne is our Snowman and always will be. I am just a backup driver in case.

      Thanks for all the support!!

      God Bless, Tyler

Ron-Good thing you woke me up. (You are always there for me when I need you.) Hard to believe we are down to less than 3 weeks-Yikes! I still have some fine tuning to do-some lunch stops to schedule. I better quit gardening and get back to finalizing BR plans. biggrin image

FYI: For those of you who do not know this: Mark and I will not be going on the run this year. It is the 1st time we haven't made at least some portion of the run so we will miss all of you. Not to worry though, I worked with wondeful folks to plan the best run we could, and I think you all will have a great time. Michelle and Dave are once again hard at work making sure that everything goes smoothly. They are so happy to be welcoming the Bandit Run to their shop this year. Bill (Red) has been helping as always and I am hopeful that y'all will once again be looking for those strobes wink image Wayne and Tyler work hard to bring that truck along on the run. It just wouldn't be the same without it so keep those fuel donations coming. I know everyone will love Greg's design on this year's shirt. I always look forward to seeing his great work. Brock-once again the man behind the scene-Thank you! Manny thank you for all the St. Louis help. The folks at Year One are welcoming the runners at the home stretch. They hope to have a surprise or two. Make sure you schedule time to take Tyler's movie tour. If you have never gone, you don't want to miss it. Also, please don't forget to send Ric some photos to floridatransam@gmail.com so that he can update his website. He will not be at the beginnning of the run but he may show up in Atlanta scratchchin image

Finally, I have to make a shout-out to some of the towns that are hosting us this year. All our stops will be special but Mt Vernon, IL and East Ridge, TN are going above and beyond for the run this year. Please thank them for me for their wonderful hospitality.

And another thing, lol-Y'all know I talk a lot- Don't forget that the registration packets may not be mailed out this year but they will be available when you check in on the run. Michelle will update this info as soon as she is certain of procedures. Don't worry-You will get your packets!

Drive safely my friends-We will catch you next year on the Texarkana to Atlanta run. I have already been working on that one. I have a feeling 2012 will be something special. hyper image

Hi all - 15 more sleeps until I leave Calgary on April 5th. I really hope it stops snowing before then (it's been snowing here for two days and is to continue for another two). I'll be taking the car into my buddy Mike's for a quick once over that he and his partner Mirek do for me and hope to get on the highway for an hour or so to get things loosened up in the car. Really looking forward to getting to Lincoln & seeing everyone. I'm going to miss Debbie & Mark, though (see you guys next year and thanks for all your hard work, Deb).
      See you soon.
      Dave

Glad the rig will make the trip and will definitely miss Mark and Deb. I am itching to get going. Took the car out for a 2 hour ride and we are good to go with a wipe down. My wife has decided to stay back and to make room for 2 new runners, my dad and my 15 year old son. My 3rd trip and now bringing 3 generations along.
Now, someone please tell me "why are we doing this?"
