Now, someone please tell me "why are we doing this?"

We've been looking forward to this since we found out about it, but we'll have to just catch some beach time on the gulf instead since our vacation is already in place. We'll be 10-10 on the side. weepy image

We'll look forward to meeting you next year! It'll be here before you know it! wink image

I had a new rear axle put in my car, So I go to drive it to get the A/C worked on and you won't believe what happend. I am driving out of my neighborhood and the rear end locks completly up and spins me out in my neighborhood! When I get it to the shop and take the rear cover off the rear end there is a DEEP WELL SOCKET laying in my rear end! I am so pissed. Its tore up my ring rear and pinion and maybe more. I told the shop that put the axle in and I hope they will cover the cost without me having to make a lawsuit. I just can not believe the guy left a socket in my rear end! I am so mad because this slows all my plans down plus all the adding frustration getting the other guy to pay for the repairs.

This is why I do my own mechanical work! Thats a major fail on their part and a dumb move not to make sure the chunk is clear of all debris before reassembly. Sorry to hear and hope everything gets worked out for you.

Shaker, thats an excellent idea, but it just wouldn't be the same. We want to be able to bring our car on our first run and we've already made plans with the couple that was going with us on the run. They were initially going to take their 79 Camaro but they don't think the motor will make the full run and they can't afford to feed the 8 MPG it gets, lol. We'll just have to catch you all next year. Who knows, maybe we will see some of you at the TA Nats later this year!

Sorry to hear of all the issues. . . . Tim, glad I wasn't there when that happened. WHEW!!! I know you were very angry. . . . Glad you weren't hurt.

Maybe here is some good news. T-shirt details are worked out and should be ready at the start of the Bandit Run.

      The rig is finally ready.

One trailer door was bebuilt and a new Snowman graphic installed. Many electrical problems with the lights have been solved, except for the headlights. Not enough time to trace down the problem, so they still stay on high beam all the time. The wiring inside the rig was complicated and that is putting it nicely. The CD player should work OK now also. East Bound and Down. . .

i also installed a mouting bracket on the CB to cut down on it's vibration. many other issues were fixed, too many to mention here. Wayne and Tonya should fly in tonight and head west in the morning.

Thanks again for all the fuel support.

      God Bless, Tyler

Tyler, thats great news about the truck! Its has become such a icon on the bandit run. I talked with the shop and told them they should pay for the repairs. They want to have the car towed to there shop and them fix it. I told them I would rather have it fixed were it is at now and them cover the cost. They are not happy about that so I know I am in for a battle. I explained they are just lucky I wasn't on the expressway with a buch of cars around (like you guys) when it happened and someone could have been seriously injured.

      Bandit UP!

I just spoke with the Braselton hotel and they will honor the Bandit Run rate even though you missed cut-off for the block. If any of you have any problems-ask to speak with Kim. She is the hotel manager.
