      Hey gang:
I just wanted to make folks aware that, if possible, we still need to give to the truck fund. I talked with Dave today about how much of our registration is going into the truck fund, and discovered that it will not be enough to cover all the fuel costs for the Bandit Run 2012. Since we have added some funds into registration, donations have completely dried up. I know we are all suffering from the economic crunch, but if each of us could just give a little, it would help out a lot.

When I set up events for the Bandit Run, everyone wants the truck. They love the cars, and they are glad we are coming, but having that truck with us goes a long way toward opening doors for our event. There are a lot of car shows and car cruises out there but we are unique because of the Snowman truck.

I know everyone of us has a tight budget and we are all struggling to pay for fuel for our own cars, but please if you can send a couple bucks toward the truck fund, it will be greatly appreciated. soapbox image

Don't forget you can also help Wounded Warriors by purchasing t-shirts.

      Thanks for your support.

      Thanks Debbie for the posting.

As some of you are "old timers" and there are some new runners on here who might not be familiar with the rig. This is an optional donation. I manage the rig year round, taxes, insurance, etc. The maintenance is also very high, oil changes, tires, etc. . .

With that being said, I cannot afford to fuel the rig for the entire run. I will estimate around $1500 to $2000 on fuel alone. . . for the Bandit Run 2012. As some of you know, the engine had a major breakdown in Oct. 2011. I drove it home from Louisiana and the fuel economy was greatly improved.

What Debbie posted is true, all donations have dried up. I hate to beg for money, but I am also realistic. The rig cannot leave out with dry tanks and no fuel money. We have always manged to take it on the run from very generous donations.

Again, forgive me for asking, but I'm not going to wait until the last minute either. We all have budgets. This is optional. There is a link to my paypal on the front page of the BR.

I will give updates as to the status of the truck going on the run.

Done! Hope to be able to provide more later.

I know it's optional but if everyone gives $5 with over 100 people registered, that's $500 and some of us can give more so we should be able for each to give what you can so the truck can run with us the entire way!!!

      Many thanks to Tyler!!!

Done, Good idea Shaker, it doesn't take a lot from everyone to keep the truck running. Don't forget it takes more than fuel to keep this beast on the road. The truck makes trans am parts look cheap.

Fellow Runners, the truck and our cars are what's its about. I gave a hundred bucks to tyler, two tanks of gas for us, The big rig, not a drop in the tank. Each one of us needs to donate some amount to Tyler. I hope I don't look back on 2012 and say oh yea the year the truck didn't make it. God Bless and see youall soon.........
