I wonder if any of you have counted up the total cost like hotel and if there are some other required you have to pay for this trip!
I don't know if I have money enough but it looks damn fun to join a trip like this, the thing is that I have to ship my car from Sweden and it's quite expensive and then it's some other things I need to solve.
I really hope I can join 2012
Sincerely...Cdan65! -

Welcome C-dan....on an average its good to have more cash then what you really wana spend, use a 1000 as a budget...(gasoline, being the biggest expense)..some of us ( myself included) dropped a bucket load of money into our older cars to make sure they had NO mechanical problems and that some had working AC,others did performance upgrades to there late models for more power and grunt, but if your car is ready to roll then your ahead of the pack...BUT its totally up to you on the amount of partying and eating/drinking you wana do.........if your like alot of us, when on a trip or vaction, money is not always important, as long as your having a blast with great friends and people who share the same thoughts as you.A group of drivers gathered at disney on the last day and had a extension of the run just relaxing and enjoying the florida sun, giving the current economy, were ALL struggling, .......Your pal.Mark.Same Bat time.....

CDAN, forget shipping the car if money is an issue(would be for me) or if it would prevent you from coming. You don't need the car for the trip to be worthwhile. In fact, the cars are the center of trip but the people that attend are the real reasons why we return. It is an experience you have to participate in, with a car or not. Fly in and ride along, usually room for co pilots in several cars or the rig at any given time. If you partner up costs are less. Cost for me with a room mate seem to run less than $125 per day counting room, gas, food; extras may run a little more. (Rooms average $100 per night, gas here is $2.59 per gallon right now and we run around 200-300 miles per day)
Sweden is really nice. Been to Stockholm and Soleftea twice, would love to have you join us.Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

I agree with Mark that $1,000 is about right during the run. We usually spend about the same amount touring around before the run and making the trip back home. I think we should all be fired up that someone is even thinking about shipping a car from Sweden for the Bandit Run. You would certainly be very welcome and enjoy a unique experience.GTO Stan

My city (Madison, MS) has a sister city relationship with Solleftea for economic growth. Haglof, Inc has an office here in town (Mr. Haglof has a home). Hope to go back, if so, I'll let you know. Was last there in Summer of 2008, the sun never went down and no place we stayed had a/c. Was surprised to see many classic American muscle cars too!Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!
