I've heard JesupTA complain about the bulbs but his problems seem to be tires or wheels or a combination of both which hopefully he's got figured out by now since we leave next week. wink image Of course I can't say anything...lil' red still isn't crunk up and I've had problem after problem getting her going... last issue was the darn oil sending unit brass or copper fitting in the block. Couldn't seem to get it out until last night... no one has the correct fitting from 1/8" MIP to 1/4 compression fitting. Guess I'll have to give up on all the A's and O's and N's autoparts stores since no one has the parts for a good old fashioned ACE Hardware tomorrow morning. biggrin image

Fired it up yet? It's going to be time to leave soon enough maybe you need a countdown clock so you don't forget. I think we are ready to go. The car is clean as it sits in the garage---may not be clean again all week.

Not only fired up but been in KC since Tuesday. The 'lil red TA ran like a champ on Christmas morning coming out here: 20 MPH, no oil used, no oil leaked, AC worked, engine temp ran 165-F, as expected it would but it's a bit concerting when you drive a new engine only 8 miles before you leave on a 827 mile run the first leg to KC then 2,250 more before it see's home again. We must remember these cars are 35 years old. They are like wives, they perform well but need some TLC. lmao image

ok Stan... Tell Pam to set your alarm clock tomorrow and y'all get on over here to KC or Lincoln or wherever we are meeting you'ze guys. That's so you can remember where it is you are going. Us Grandpas need reminding.

      lmao image

Kansas City? Lincoln? Is that why I can't find anyone in Iowa City? Should be in Lincoln by mid afternoon--hopefully I can find the hotel.

We should get in early afternoon. We'll "leave a light" on for all of you latecomers. I'll be smart enough to do that because I'm staying at a Holiday Inn Express. yes image

Well... it was a GREAT BANDIT RUN as usual... Those on motortopia that don't make the Bandit Run or Hot Rod Power Tour or any substantial Cruise of more than 500 miles are just boring as hell to those of us who do...

SO, ... if you trailer that car of yours to wherever it is your goin'... it don't count to those of us who actually drive our cars and cruise across this great country of ours!

I've got a truck and trailer just as those "Trailer Queens" and I DON'T ATTEND THE TA NATIONALS 'CAUSE ALL THOSE CARS ARE TRAILER QUEENS. When you judge a car on whose will make the east to west coast without failing then I'm interested... otherwise... in the words of the infamous Bandit Bo "do the words, F.O." mean anything to those who house their cars afraid to drive them for fear they might "chip a nail". YOU WIMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mad image

You go Shaker-----you pose an interesting proposition. There was a thing called the Cannonball Run. Didn't take any planning cause you didn't stop anywhere. Whatcha think? I know I would need a different partner but it could be fun.
