I like my power under the hood, unless you wana be nasty, and throw a warrior dual quad high rise on a pontiac 400, or a 671 on a stroked 455, or get 900 hp from a LS- 6 ,then were talking meat and potatoes, otherwise its just bacon and eggs...........shake it ............before ya break it

Mark is much smarter than that... I think... 'cause him and RHD been together too long to make these elementary mistakes.
Last I heard RHD still had a Pontiac of her own... and might just become "Run Him Down" Debbie if he steps too far out of line.

Actually you guys, there are a few pics of a red head in a bikini posing with my car in front of a barn. She never gave me copies though. This was waaaaaay back when in 77.
Don't have to worry about RHD runnin' me down, she couldn't see me.Keep on Pontiyakkin'

Glad we all have a sense of humor
anyway back to the this topic. CARBS.....well, completely disassembled my 301s carb, I mean took the plates and shafts out, but twisted one of the itty bitty screws that hold the primary plates to the shaft,
tried a few tricks but looks like gotta get a tinny winny drill bit and try to drill out the broken bolt.from the main shaft.
. ya I know, jumped right in without reading the instructions first
how many of us done this?. anyway Im taking pics of the build, just forgot how to post the photos to the page, if anyone can tell me via Pm, I would appreciate it...How many more days we got shaker?

My 301 car is now dripping oil out of the front seal. I'll have to look into that to know if I can trust it on the run.Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

Well... doggone it. Old things do break but those nagging oil leaks are just that... nagging. My Little Red TA ran good down to Tifton and back home... registered 233 miles down there and 235 return (had to get off the interstate and go around traffic). It got better fuel mileage on the return although I drove it the same... foot through the firewall there and back.
Used 15 mpg SB and 13.5 NB. Gettin better with every drive..
Mike, one way to look at the oil leak... at least it's not the rear seal.
Chumbro, I donno what to say... I've done what you did... it ain't fun but I always get a skinned to the bone knuckle or two and learn something everytime. (if I could just remember what I learned the next time I tried it... that 's the thing).
