Just curious what my fellow Bandit Runners have planned for their cars for the 2012 Run?
I've added a Roll control or line lock to help with those smokey burnouts. Probably will be pulling the Strano lowering springs off in the spring and going back to the stockers. I love the look but we way the roads are in IL just sucks and I feel every pot hole.
So post up and let me know what you've changed on your car. How's this thing go back together???

Full paint job, new tint, new sound system, custom exhaust, and tires... so far. :-)
Gonna try to do a full detail on the engine compartment soon as it is extremely disappointing in there.

The car is at body and paint, should be done in mid December. After tax season get engine and tranny redone. Then send interior off to my friends parents to reupholster. New audio, and rims and tires, and redesign hood bird, get Super Chicken lettering for spoiler. Hopefully can join day 3 of the bandit run, outta Tennessee. -

Geno,
You planning on bring the 02 on the run? I remember meeting you on the 08 Run.

T/A isn't bad since we detailed it for the Nats a few months back, but winter and sitting sprung an oil leak, not sure where yet though. Need to find some random bits, but tracking down good 3rd gen parts isn't easy, people were hard on these cars. Also need to get the engine bay polished up, bring the shine back out on the intake runners.
Car is at least mobile for the run this year, had to bail for the '11 run.

Don't shine her up to much.
You know she'll only get dirty again on the run.
Keep on Pontiyakkin'

We're trying to finish up a 3 year effort to restore a TATA that was a field find. It's an original 4 speed car. We're gonna be working up till the last minute to get this thing running and on the road to Texarkana. It's my daughters car and she always wanted to do the bandit run. -

My 4th run and will be bringing a different car for the 3rd time, maybe a 4th car, my son's 81 Y84. He is 16 and if I can get him out of school, he'll have a time of his life. My 79 was bought literally in boxes for parts. Numbers matching 400/4 speed required me to put it together and not part it out. Paint/body done, new interior done, new tires and exhaust done. Now chasing electrical gremlins. After that, registration/inspection/tag and then decals. Now for the license plate, what should I do:
1. 79 WS6
2. 400 4 spd
3. L8R G8R
4. IEATZ28
5. OICU8AZ2
Wll I registered #2 4004SPDAny day above ground is a GOOD day!!!
